Notes to the link:

Some people with young children (or perhaps most) would get disturbed when they notice signs that their children are ‘behaving like homosexuals,’ as if there’s a prescriptive set of behaviors that make one homosexual, straight, bisexual, lesbian and transgendered. Some would even seek out therapy, one way or another. Some would certainly go about reading more. I had fun time writing down the article found in the link above (it actually needs a re-write, which I’ll do one of these days), which from the start was rather difficult to pursue because I felt like harshly judging my own self in the process.

Most of the signs can scare most people out, especially if they realize that their children would have to undergo bullying and suffer other forms of hatred from people who don’t know any better. The experience of becoming scared from reading signs from a notable book is common with other people studying for their degrees along the health sciences and who have been poring into their textbooks – ‘they see the signs in themselves and end up doing a false, an incomplete diagnose on themselves.’

Being homosexual is very common, which is just like saying ‘it what sets some people apart from others.’ It’s neither a curse nor a blessing – it is what it is and there’s nothing you can do about it but to accept it most lovingly as an aspect of one’s being (either yourself or the other). Of course, a reading of the Holy Scriptures can further scare people off from what’s truthful. If it’s something that came from God, how can it be so abominable. You’re either one or not… it’s as basic as that. Take it from someone who’s gay himself; what helped me overcome my fears is my faith in the Lord who loves me as He’s the one who created me (all these despite people, including people known to me, who have been unloving to me — remember: to love is to continue learning to forgive, which God shows by positively modelling it Himself).

And even if we remove religious connotations to these signs, we need to remember, too, that homosexuality shows up in other members of the living world, which can be most observed in other members of the animal world. It just says what we’ve been talking about all along: it’s just so natural!

And by the way, keep on updating yourself by reading other materials. Don’t just listen to what famous people are telling you. You out of your way to explore more materials. You’ll be able to evaluate what’s honest and truthful from all these materials and to come up with something strong that holds true to your heart and being, which is very crucial if you have a child whom you think is turning out to be more ‘gay’ each day. Plus, stop using the word ‘homosexual’ – it’s just so clinical a word that only those who have advanced academic degrees may best use the term freely because they can most probably share you how the usage of the word  has evolved all these years. It’s a very academic word that has become useful, too, in the legal word. But in everyday parlance, it’s best to use the word ‘gay.’
