Curious to know what ‘method acting‘ is all about? One of those who extensively developed and pioneered this technique in acting is Lee Strasberg, whose main influence on this has been Stalinavski.

This acting coach, before he died, built acting schools where those who dream of becoming good actors typically go to if they find themselves pursuing their dreams in NYC and Los Angeles. This artist was born in Europe but grew up in NYC. He was instrumental in the career growth of numerous actors including Marilyn Monroe, Al Pacino, Paul Newman, Ellen Burstyn, among others. A number of buildings where the arts are performed have been named after him. You will also see him on the movie ‘Godfather, Part II‘.  His estate still manages a significant portion of Marilyn Monroe’s estate (who on her death willed that 75% of the proceeds of her assets be turned-0ver to Lee Strasberg), including pictures, books, images, etc on her that still retain their copyrights. Read a brief story on him here: Biography: Lee Strasberg http://ow.ly/4IrU9

This is a comedy one-man play that still has performance schedules in a theater in the West Village. It’s not at all pornographic, as the title may suggest.  You won’t even see nudity here at all – if there was one, I must have missed it. You’ll meet the protagonist (who’s also the who wrote the play!) on stage who would ponder aloud about his existence, pre-internet era, after he discovers the porn trove of his father who left the family after parting ways from the protagonist’s mother. It’s cute and brave, irreverently honest, plus outrageously funny! It can even be a must-see play for adolescents who are trying to figure out the confusing areas of their sexuality (but, of course, they’re best accompanied by their parents or someone much older to really appreciate what’s going on stage).

The Resignation

“a sincere resignation letter narrating a moving on experience along the way http://ow.ly/4FHVq

You’ll get advices from people you trust on how to best come up with a resignation letter depending on the circumstances you will describe and give them. This author, when he left a 15-year old full time job, took all the time to consult with specialists, well-meaning friends and relatives on how to go about it. It was a strange feeling as the very act of resigning from an old full-time gig was eerily similar to having myself separated from my own family in more ways than one.  I remember almost crying when I was on my last day at work, but I decided to hold my tears. I have been learning to take charge of my moving on experiences since then.

There are always better ways of taking action on the major decisions you’re making in life, which includes resigning from an important job. Read again the article in the link above, which this author hopes will give you some helpful ideas. I thought of quoting the resignation letter that someone I know submitted when he was moving on from a job where he apparently did really well to a new job that will open avenues for his growth as a person.

The whole point in this article is mainly to show you that there’s no best way of coming up with resignation letter. You need to remind yourself that you’re on your path to another moving on experience. Your attitude and outlook will serve as guideposts to your efforts.
